Cox Motor Group welcomes global automotive manufacturer BYD to Mellishaw Lane Business Park, marking another exciting milestone in the group's continued expansion across the North West.
The new BYD Lancaster dealership will join an impressive line-up of established brands at Mellishaw Lane, including Volkswagen, Honda, MG and Automart, further strengthening the site's reputation as a leading automotive destination for Lancaster, Morecambe and the surrounding areas.
Founded in 2000 by Managing Director David Cox, the family-owned business has grown from a single Honda dealership into a major regional automotive group representing a diverse portfolio of manufacturers across Lancashire and Cumbria.
The announcement follows further expansion in Blackpool, where Cox Motor Group has recently welcomed Chery and XPENG alongside its existing brands.
BYD, one of the world's leading electric and electrified vehicle manufacturers, entered the UK market in 2023 and has rapidly grown in popularity.
